OH MY GOSH! Those were my first words when I came across this glorious piece of news.
Fashionistas, fashion enthusiasts… whatever you want to call them, they all know of the shoe god that is Jimmy Choo. A brand which is coveted by many, Jimmy Choo has carved himself a niche in the shoe industry, which results in everyone – and I mean everyone – wanting a pair of his expertly designed shoes. As one of the CBL shoe gods – Choo, Blahnik, Louboutin – every shoe-a-holic would trade in their prized possessions to be fitted into Choo’s designs. The shoe god’s have answered their prayers.
The luxury company has announced that they will work with Swedish high street store (and king of designer collaborations) to create a line of shoes and bags.
But this isn’t the first designer collaboration by H&M. The popular store has taken the likes of Matthew Williamson, Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli and Karl under their wing, as well as Madonna and Kylie Minogue.
Tamara Mellon, president of Jimmy Choo, said: “We are privileged to be among the fashion greats who have been affiliated with H&M so far, and to be designing a collection appealing to fashion savvy, street smart women, and to be including some great pieces for men, too. Jimmy Choo will bring to H+M a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection - the perfect party pieces to buy now and then wear out that night!”
Shoes… Bags… all that’s missing are some rocking clothes. Not to worry, Jimmy Choo is designing a range of clothing to complement the to-die-for accessories.
Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor of H&M, said. “I like the way we have worked with clothes to accessorise the shoes and bags rather than the other way around. This collaboration is particularly exciting because it’s our first shoe designer collection. It’s a joy to be able to offer top end designer shoes and bags of excellent quality to our customers.”
The collection is due to appear around 200 H&M shops worldwide on November 14. The collection is predicted to sell out in record time, so heels at the ready girls… There’s a fight ahead. Let the best shoe addict win!

I really hope the shoes have a better quality than the normal h&m shoes, it would be such a shame to have a great shoe that doesn't last very long!
